Before the tattoo session:
Moisturize your skin: Start moisturizing your skin several days before your appointment. This will improve your skin’s condition on the day of the tattoo.
Shave the area: Shave the area where you’ll get the tattoo the day before your appointment. While shaving at the shop is possible, doing it a day in advance can help prevent minor scratches on your skin.
Rest and eat well: Ensure you get enough sleep and have a proper meal before your appointment. This helps maintain your energy during the session.
During tattoo aftercare:
Prepare a tattoo care cream to use during the healing process. Common options in Korea include:
Bepanthen: A cream containing panthenol, available at pharmacies for 8,000 KRW ($7).
Vaseline: Also a popular choice.
Any tattoo-specific ointment is fine as well.
After the tattoo session:
Waterproof film: I will apply a waterproof film to prevent oozing or ink stains.
Aftercare instructions: You’ll receive a card with detailed aftercare instructions tailored to My work.
By following these steps, you’ll ensure a smooth process and optimal results!
Pricing:
I charge per piece, not per hour. The price depends on the level of detail in the design, starting at $400. After reviewing the reservation form you submit, I’ll provide you with an exact price.
Session Duration
The minimum session time is approximately 3 hours, even for very small tattoos, as I use fine needles to ensure precision. Smaller tattoos often take longer to complete, so the cost of a piece does not always correspond to its size. For larger pieces, such as full sleeves or large leg tattoos, sessions may take more than 5 to 6 hours and may need to be divided into multiple sessions depending on the complexity of the design.
Feel free to provide as much detail as possible in the form to help me estimate the time and cost more accurately.
Q: How do I request a touch-up?
If your tattoo needs a touch-up, there’s no need to fill out a separate form. Simply email me at tattooapiece@gmail.com. (I recommend scheduling a touch-up at least 1.5 months after the session to allow your skin enough time to heal.)
If you received your tattoo at an overseas guest spot, I will contact you in advance when I plan to visit that city again.
